The Nicolette Weddings team was recently lucky enough to be included in an exclusive list of Cape Town wedding planners that were invited to a fabulous site visit and dinner at the luxurious Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa in Franschhoek.
Having visited this sophisticated and elegant hotel before for a romantic weekend’s stay with my hubby, I was all too eager to accept the invitation, hop in the car and head to the wine lands for another taste of what this top class venue has to offer.
From the bustle of the city, it was a welcomed break to leave the traffic and noise behind, as we drove into vineyard covered rolling hills of Franschhoek. After our arrival and welcome drinks, we were taken on guided tours throughout the stunning venue. I had no idea that Le Franschhoek has so many wedding and conference venue options to offer, with several locations across the estate, including a few separate buildings, an exquisite conservatory and the main dining hall of the hotel, where we ended our tour with an unforgettable 3 course meal, perfectly paired with delicious wines from the surrounding estates.
To give us an idea of how versatile the main dining hall of the hotel is, and how well the space can be transformed into any number of different décor concepts, each table of our event was decorated with different looks, each as elegant as the next.
As a seasoned Cape Town wedding planner, having been to a venue or two, I give this fabulous venue two thumbs up! Our dinner was sublime, the company fantastic, and the Le Franschhoek Hotel left a lasting impression on all who attended. We cannot wait to plan our first wedding at this perfect spot!
