Just a few weeks ago, at the beginning of what promises to be yet another spectacular wedding season, we proudly coordinated the beautifully unique and intimate wedding of Olivia and Lindsay, in the Stellenbosch wine lands. While we wait for the professional photographer’s pictures from the day, we just couldn’t wait any longer to share some of our own pictures that we took ourselves.
The lovely couple were united in a truly meaningful and peaceful Buddhist ceremony, which was held under an ancient tree in a quiet garden, filled with their loved ones. Sticking to the theme, the couple’s big day was decorated with modern Asian elements throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the evening’s reception.
The ceremony was set in a private garden, with crisp white Wimbledon chairs for the guests, and a stunning, expertly draped, white gazebo, which followed a modern, white carpet isle runner through the center, for the couple. The gazebo was placed in front of a towering tall tree, which provided welcomed shade for everyone during the ceremony.
Guests were treated to fabulous navy blue fans and fun, quirky order of service sheets.
After the moving ceremony was over, the fabulous confetti was thrown, the photos were taken and the cocktails were served, the newlywed’s guests moved on to find their seats for the reception where no details of Asian elements were spared.
Crisp white orchid flowers created a clean, modern feel with a subtle reminder of the flowers’ Asian roots. Floating softly above, were hundreds of white Chinese lanterns to further amplify the décor look and feel. Everything worked beautifully together and set the scene for a memorable night for all those who attended the celebration.
We’d like to wish Olivia and Lindsay and big congratulations on their beautiful big day and their new marriage. We wish you many years of love and happiness together, and we thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.
