Cape Town Wedding Planner Reflection: Khangi & Simba’s Glamorous Wedding
We are beyond excited to finally be sharing the pictures we took at one of our all time favourite weddings, Khangi and Simba’s big day in Johannesburg – I dont think it’s hard to see why we just loved this pink and gold wedding and why it was such a treat for us Cape Town wedding planners to be a part of such a stunning event.
There were just so many divine elements to this wedding that all worked together beautifully to create the perfect, glamorous wedding for Johannesburg’s finest to attend and enjoy. The large hall was set to fit all 250 guests comfortably in rows of 16 seater tables, filling the room perfectly with space for a porcelen tiled dance floor in the centre.
The dance floor was a feature on it’s own and had a striking custom designed gobo light displayed on the wall above a cream leather couch, with the newlyweds names shining bright for all to see.
The dance floor was surrounded by delicately decorated tables, topped with gorgeous stationery, fresh lush flowers, and other glass decor to reflect the candle light across the room.
We chose clear perspex ghost chairs for a modern look and to highlight the glass elements on the tables and throughout the room.
We set the tables with dusted gold table clothes, topped with detailed glass underplates, accompanied by exquisitely detailed King’s Silver cutlery.
We then added a flirty touch of colour to the room by placing hundreds of glass vases filled with flowers on all the tables. The flowers included thousands of imported roses, hundreds of local hydrangeas and plenty of greenery for a fresh, lush flowery look throughout the room.
The stylish stationery further accentuated the gold in the room with laser cut, gold perspex table numbers, gold foil printed menu’s and other gold signs throughout the room.
Even the seating chart was expertly designed to match the rest of the pink and gold wedding, and somehow managed to neatly display the seating arrangmenets for the 250 guests.
The wedding cake was an absolute beauty and was large, 4 tiered cream coloured cake, covered in a lace detail that matched the detail on the bride’s Vera Wang dress.
After dinner, guests enjoyed their desserts and coffees in special ladies’ lounges and gentleman’s lounges that we put together with cream leather couches, gold and bronze cushions, and pink flowers.
The sense of pride we felt after putting together this magnificent wedding was one we’ll never forget and one we remember fondly when thinking back to how perfectly the decor all came together and how the evening was just perfect for our bride and all her guests.
