Keda and Wesley recently joined the Nicolette Weddings family. That is, we are lucky enough to be planning this unique couple’s wedding, set to take place next year. The love birds also wanted us to help them put together their engagement party for their family and friends to celebrate their recent commitment to each other. The concept of the engagement party was old-school carnival and Alexander Bar in Cape Town was the perfect spot as it has a classy, old world look and feel. The venue is filled with vintage items such as old phones, pianos and record players.
However, after we’d put our touches here and there, we’d converted the space into a fun, vibrant and colourful carnival canvass! We used bunting, striped fabric and helium filled balloons to set the scene.
The menu for the evening consisted of cocktails and canapes, followed by a dilectable dessert table whic included cake pops, red, yellow and blue velvet cupcakes, red, yellow and blue maccaroons, jumbo meringues, mini Italian lemon meringues, brownies, and much much more.
We’re so thrilled to have put together such a beautiful event for the happy couple, and we’re even more excited to be moving forward as we start the planning of what promises to be a spectacular wedding for Keda and Wesley.
